We are currently looking for a Space Research Specialist / Analyst to join our interdisciplinary research group that consists of 30+ researchers, engineers and consultants tackling key global societal challenges. The relevant project is about studies, methodologies and support services for the programming cycle of EU-funded research to foster the competitiveness of the EU-space industry.

We seek excellent, responsive professionals and researchers who are comfortable working in a demanding international setting with an ability to quickly absorb new technologies and synthesize knowledge to generate new research ideas and added value services. 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in STEM
  • Masters in Engineering /Space Applications / Remote Sensing / Physics/ General Management etc.
  • Expertise in: dealing with space policies, impact assessment, strategic planning and technology management, space marketand industry, with focus on Earth Observation, Navigation, launchers and SSA/ space debris mitigation, comparative analysis and Knowledge analysis, project management of research projects, scientific research, European industrial, research and innovation policy, space science and fundamental research, stakeholder consultation and qualitative analysis, benchmarking,
  • Research skills including literature review, market surveys, technology scouting and analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills aimed at maintaining contacts in academic, business and governmental circles
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language both verbal and in writing

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing large and complex projects 
  • Space policies analysis
  • Conducting literature reviews and performing comparative analysis
  • Using text mining techniques for gathering, analyzing and processing unstructured data from multiple data sources
  • Conducting assessment activities
  • Developing guidelines and recommendations after comparative analysis
  • Grouping gathered data and knowledge to related themes
  • Developing set of indicators for performing assessments
  • Ability to write independently
  • Collaborative approach in working with cross functional teams
