It will take place on 24 October 2022 in Athens, Greece ​and is followed by the 7th meeting of FG-AI4NDM (25 - 26 October 2022)​ at the same venue. Dr Haris Kontoes, Research Director, National Observatory of Athens and Scientific Director of the Operational Unit BEYOND Center for Earth Observation Research and Satellite Remote Sensing will present "EYWA: An established Early Warning System Expanding to new Frontiers". Moreover, Dr Nikolaos S. Bartsotas​, ​​Senior Research Associate, National Observatory of Athens, BEYOND Centre of EO Research & Satellite Remote Sensing will present "Smoke plum tracing through a fusion of numerical weather prediction, satellite remote sensing and dispersion modelling".
